What this covers

These terms apply to your use of Soniq8 ("the service"), a web application that identifies songs in audio mixes. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Your account

You need an account to use Soniq8. You can sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. One account per person.

What the service does

Soniq8 analyzes audio from public YouTube videos to identify songs and generate tracklists. Results depend on audio quality, mix complexity, and the songs in our recognition database. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy.

Credits

Analyses consume credits. Free accounts receive a monthly credit allowance. Additional credits can be purchased. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. We may adjust credit pricing and allowances with notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to infringe copyright or violate any law
  • Submit URLs to private, unlisted, or age-restricted content you don't have permission to access
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service's APIs
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission

Spotify integration

If you connect Spotify, you authorize Soniq8 to create playlists in your Spotify account. Playlist creation is subject to Spotify's Terms of Use. You can disconnect Spotify at any time from your Profile page, which immediately revokes our access.

Content and intellectual property

Soniq8 identifies songs but does not host, distribute, or provide access to copyrighted music. Tracklist data (song titles, artists, timestamps) is factual information generated by our analysis. YouTube content is accessed via public URLs and processed temporarily for identification purposes only.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uptime. We may perform maintenance, update features, or modify the service at any time. We will try to give notice for significant changes.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Soniq8 is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for inaccurate song identifications, service interruptions, or any damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
